Dolce & Gabbana replaces models with drones

The fashion shows kicking off in Milan and London are leaving us in awe as designers share their visions for the future in the most creative way. It was only last week when we were left mesmerised by Burberry’s artistic show in partnership with UVA (United Visual Arts), where models strut through light paths triggering sounds and visuals in a multi-sensory immersive experience. The installation used an archway of colourful lasers and beams to reflect and compliment the designs created for the season. Meanwhile in Milan, iconic brand – Dolce & Gabbana put on the ultimate tech-driven show, surprising the audience with a fleet of drones on the runway. The flying devices glided across the room in perfect symmetry, while parading the new handbag series of the season. As robots permeate throughout industries, it is captivating to see how they are making their mark in fashion especially during live shows as we know it. Although their presence is not new, the robot trend is definitely one we cannot ignore and with a strong influence on fashion, robots could well be the next style icons!
