Inspiring décor at the Met Gala 2018

From the Great Hall to dinnerware, the Met Gala stuns and inspires us every year with its well-thought décor that creatively interprets the yearly theme. Forming the theme of “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”, this year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Great Hall featured a floriated centerpiece inspired by Pope Pius IX’s jewelled crown. Guests relived the 19th Century monastery dining style, with wooden tables, antique plates and burgundy runners with golden tassels. Not even the smallest details were overlooked! Innovative décor is key to producing a memorable event with a unique theme. Let us know the story behind your next event and allow Riviera’s design team to help create your own Met Gala extravaganza!
