The third annual countdown gala at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai gets ready for the 11.11 sales kicking-off at midnight tonight! Each year the sales value is crushed and we have no doubt this year will be even bigger. Far superior to any Black Friday or other shopping festival, the event will feature a star-studded line up, smashing production and interactive experiences. Viewers will be able to tune in live via TV or through Taobao (an Alibaba owned website and APP), to have a real-life experience of the buzzing atmosphere that is sure to ensue. Hollywood TV producer David Hill will direct the gala for the second year, showcasing China’s cutting-edge technology and digital innovation. Viewers can tune in online through ‘virtual audience stalls’, make direct purchases from the runway, collect prizes and interact with celebrities, as they plan to launch the 360-degree virtual reality panorama experience. It’s certainly impressive to see how brands interacting with consumers and make a lasting impression through fashion, music, entertainment and technology.
