Marriott International Greater China Chef’s Battle Grand Final 2017

Marriott International’s highly anticipated culinary battle continued last week as they hosted their grand finale at the JW Marriott Shanghai Tomorrow Square. Welcome speeches were provided by Mr Stephen Ho, Chief Executive Officer of Greater China, Marriott International and Mr Richard Taffs, Vice President, Operations of Greater China Marriott International. In their quest to find the top chef of 2017, the challenge featured three finalists – Christ Dong from Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Nanshan, Min Lee from Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing Hotel and Leo Cao from JW Marriott Hotel Beijing Central who all went head-to-head, showcasing their best creations in the hope of impressing the judges. Over the past thirteen months, the heated contest underwent several rounds of competition with a total of 148 chef participants. The final three prepared dishes which were scored on a scale of 1-5, eventually crowning this year’s winner as Christ Dong from Shenzhen Marriott Hotel. The venue was buzzing with enthusiastic and supportive guests who cheered and celebrated amongst the grand dance performances and live DJ.
