Godfather of fashion set to open luxury hotel in Macau

Macau’s booming hotel scene has been going from strength to strength as it seeks to diversify the range of hotels available in the growing city. Luxury hotel brands have put down their roots as Macau is expected to see a 10% growth in international tourists over the next few years. The latest hotel to step onto the scene is the creation of none other than the iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. Located in the Lisboa Palace Development, the hotel is set to open in 2017, offering an unprecedented level of luxury. Visitors love Macau for its blend of cultures and exotic flair, so we have no doubt that the hotel will proudly convey Lagerfeld’s characteristics and unique vision. Having dabbled in hotel design before with the poolscape at the Hotel Metropole in Monte Carlo and the suites at Paris’s Hotel de Crillon, he finally has a canvas of his own. If his work with Chanel on the fashion week circuit is anything to go by, we can expect his imagination to run wild. We look forward to seeing how he uses his signature style and cutting- edge approach to dominate the décor.
