Retail’s Digital Disruption
Insights into what the store of tomorrow will look like were revealed at this year’s National Retail Federation Big Show 2018 (NRF). The conference explored how AI, robotics, mobile payments and the evolution of digital platforms will shake the industry in the not so far future. Delegates who were keen and ready to undergo the full digital transformation were given full support, and those who were hesitant were warned by speaker Spencer Fung (CEO of Li & Fung) that “Nobody is going to be immune from this digital disruption, and I would urge every company to look at their space, and see how quickly they need to digitise.” Everything will become digital at some point, it is just a matter of time.
