Located in the heart of Shanghai, the Jing’an Shangri-La Hotel is known for its refined elegance and exceptional service. Among its many highlights is The 1515 West Bar, a classic American-style bar and grill infused with the charm of old Shanghai.

This spring, our team in China returned to the iconic venue with a clear creative mission. We set out to reimagine the space as The Bloom Bar, an immersive seasonal experience designed to delight the senses. As guests stepped inside, they were immediately welcomed by lush greenery, vibrant blossoms, fluttering butterflies, and playful bunnies — a cheerful nod to the 2023 Chinese zodiac.

More than just a visual upgrade, the transformation created a complete sensory escape. The fresh natural elements brought renewed energy to the space. As a result, guests could unwind in an atmosphere that balanced tranquillity with celebration. Furthermore, the whimsical décor made it an ideal backdrop for capturing memories and sharing joyful moments.

Every detail was carefully planned and intentionally placed. From the floral arrangements to the ambient lighting, the design evoked the renewal and beauty of the season. It encouraged visitors not only to enjoy their surroundings, but also to fully embrace the spirit of spring.
