The Grand Opening of the Regent Shanghai on the Bund marked the debut of a luxurious riverside retreat, perfectly blending Shanghai’s rich cultural heritage with refined luxury. Situated along the Huangpu River, the hotel offers sweeping views of both the historic Bund and the modern Pudong skyline, creating a unique fusion of art, culture, and cuisine.

A Two-Part Celebration for the Grand Opening: Regent Shanghai On the Bund

The ceremony was held in two distinct parts. The day began with a ribbon-cutting event attended by 30 distinguished guests, including government officials and IHG leadership. In the evening, 200 guests gathered for an elegant dinner event, reflecting the hotel’s essence and its surroundings.

“Beyond the Huangpu River”: A Celebration of Elegance

The theme “Beyond the Huangpu River” highlighted the perfect fusion of tradition and modernity that defines both the hotel and the city. Key figures such as Mr Sidney Hardy, General Manager of Regent Shanghai, Mr Daniel Aylmer, CEO of IHG Greater China, and Mr Wang Tao, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Seagull Holdings, gave insightful speeches.
