A Bittersweet Farewell to The Opposite House, Beijing
Like those working in the hotel industry, we at Riviera Events share the same passion for people. Over the years, this shared dedication to exceptional guest experiences has strengthened our relationship with the hospitality sector. Therefore, it was with mixed emotions that we supported Swire Group to deliver a fitting farewell to The Opposite House, Beijing — a project that felt as bittersweet as it was honourable.
Celebrating the Legacy of a Cultural Landmark
The Opposite House, Beijing has always been more than just a hotel. It stood as a cultural hub, embracing diversity and offering a unique blend of food and beverage delights.
For its final celebration, aptly named ‘One More Time!’, the venue hosted its largest event ever. Over 600 guests gathered to indulge in iconic gastronomy, creative cocktails, and spirited entertainment.
Moreover, the atmosphere buzzed with nostalgia and excitement, honouring the vibrant spirit that defined The Opposite House for years.
Crafting a Spectacular Send-Off
Our event planning team in China took charge of the complete event production, managing audio, visuals, and staging. In addition, we orchestrated an eclectic lineup of performances designed to ignite the crowd’s energy.
The evening featured dazzling drag queens, agile stilt walkers, glittering disco ball dancers, and dynamic rollerblade girls. Each act added a unique flair and contributed to the lively, celebratory atmosphere.
Ending on a High Note
The pinnacle of the evening arrived with a synchronised countdown. As Daft Punk’s “One More Time” filled the air, a confetti explosion showered the guests, bringing the celebration to a joyous close.
Unquestionably, The Opposite House concluded its chapter with the spectacular send-off it truly deserved. Although this chapter ends, we eagerly look forward to future collaborations with Swire Group and more exhilarating projects across China!
