W Xiamen Premiere

The recent Grand Opening of W Xiamen welcomed over 100 guests over three days of festivities. The esteemed visitors included corporate clients, corporate representatives from Marriott International and W Xiamen’s owning company, government officials, high-profile influencers, and the media.

This is the first W hotel to open in the Fujian Province of China, featuring cutting-edge design and a breathtaking illuminated sound garden inspired by Minnan Culture.

Over the course of the three days, there were a multitude of different events, starting off with a lively welcome cocktail dinner, held in the sound garden. Day two was the main affair with the opening ceremony for the property, a gala dinner and an after party held at HEAT/JACUZZI/WET featuring a fashion show.

The atmosphere was electric with various performances and entertainment including a violinist – DJ collaboration, the Go Go Dance inspired by W’s ‘fashion gene’ and the beautiful flaming Phoenix linking to the ancient legend in Xiamen involving the egret bird and phoenix flower.

The final day of the opening celebrations culminated with a body pumping boxing training session, held on the Min Yen Terrace.

Our team were elated to deliver everything from the KV design through to the production, sound and lighting, model hostesses and performances for all three days ensuring W hotels had yet another special premiere; this time for their Xiamen property.
