2024 Accor Greater China General Manager Conference

To celebrate another year of milestone achievements – including the opening of their 700^th property in Greater China, the Sofitel Shanghai North Bund – our event planners in China were delighted to mark yet another exciting chapter in Accor’s journey of expansion and success in the region with the 2024 Accor Greater China General Managers Conference.

Held at the Swissôtel Beijing Hong Kong Macau Center, the conference brought together over 100 of Accor’s top General Managers from across the country. Spanning three days, the event was a glittering showcase of Accor’s dedication to excellence and innovation in the hospitality world, where discussions buzzed with reflections on the past year’s achievements, strategic objectives for the next 12 months, and a spotlight on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

The multi-day conference concluded with a stylish awards gala dinner. The evening began with a warm welcome to the French Ambassador to China, Monsieur Bertrand Lortholary, who joined the celebration and offered heartfelt praise for Accor’s remarkable achievements. As the night progressed, anticipation built towards the highlight of the evening: the recognition of George Wee, General Manager of the Fairmont Peace Hotel, as Accor’s General Manager of the Year. This remarkable celebration perfectly capped off a meaningful event, filling attendees with inspiration and enthusiasm for the coming year.
